Swiggy Instamart in partnership with PharmEasy will deliver prescription medicines within 10 minutes

According to reports, Swiggy Instamart and PharmEasy have partnered to supply prescription drugs in as little as ten minutes. As part of its current service, Instamart has begun providing over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals, including pain treatment sprays, even though Swiggy has not yet made an official declaration. With this new collaboration, Swiggy is stepping up its efforts to reach more people who require easy access to prescription drugs by entering the e-pharmacy sector.

Currently, Swiggy is piloting the service in Bengaluru, where it will deliver prescription pharmaceuticals, painkillers, fever treatments, and other necessary prescriptions.

The distinctive "shop-in-shop" arrangement, in which PharmEasy shopfronts function within Swiggy's dark stores—localized storage facilities for speedy delivery—is a key component of this collaboration. 

With this configuration, Swiggy would be able to promptly deliver requests for pharmaceuticals, particularly those that need to comply with regulations, such prescription drugs. If successful, the Bengaluru pilot will guide future expansions, maybe expanding the service to other cities.
