NewsThe first 'Gujarat Semiconductor Policy 2022-2027' has been brought to the nation by the Gujarat government. The development is consistent with the viksit Bharat@2047 vision of Prime Minister Modi.
The goal of the policy is to strengthen the state's position as a producer of semiconductors and its independence.
The state government created the 'Gujarat State Electronics Mission,' a specialized organization dedicated to promoting the state's leadership in semiconductor self-reliance, to aid in the implementation of the program.
The foundation stone for Micron's cutting-edge semiconductor ATMP factory was placed in Sanand under CM Patel's direction, representing an investment of more than Rs 22,500 crore.
Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) and Taiwan's Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) are working together to construct India's first AI-enabled semiconductor production plant in Dholera, also referred to as "Semicon City." The project will cost more than Rs 91,000 crore.
