NewsTo grow its digital marketplace for consumer-packaged goods (CPGs), Bizom has teamed up with the international organization Accion and Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, the philanthropic division of Mastercard.
Through embedded finance solutions, the partnership aims to assist over 4 million small shops in expanding their enterprises.
A large network of MSMEs characterizes the CPG retail market, and small retailers and distributors face a variety of difficulties, such as supply chain interruptions, ineffective inventory control, late payments against purchases, and limited access to financial services that can assist them in meeting ongoing capital needs.
It is projected that there is a $230 billion loan shortfall in India's MSME sector. According to Bizom, it automates route-to-market (RTM) operations for more than 600 brands, 200,000 distributors, and more than 8 million retailers in the CPG sector.
By giving sellers real-time visibility into ground operations, the startup's SaaS platform informs them about product market demand and facilitates transactions.
Small shops can find trustworthy procurement channels to obtain merchandise through Bizom's Distiman platform, which links them with distributors and sellers.
As part of its ongoing cooperation with the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, Accion is working to enhance the financial health of over 10.5 million individuals by 2026, including women entrepreneurs, by actively utilizing digital financial services.
