Bharti Airtel and Nokia announced a collaboration on Green 5G, for energy-efficient solutions to Airtels mobile network

Major telecom provider Bharti Airtel and Nokia today announced their partnership on "Green 5G," an attempt to upgrade Airtel's mobile network with energy-saving techniques and technologies. The project's main goal is to increase energy efficiency throughout Airtel's vast 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) by utilising cutting-edge technology like AI/ML, a variety of sophisticated software features, and creative solutions. 

The all-inclusive solution is anticipated to lower Airtel's yearly carbon emissions by an estimated 143,413 metric tonnes of CO2 and improve energy efficiency both during peak and off-peak hours.
