News EventIn relation to "Vaikunta Dwara" darshan, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) have decided to give 6.70 lakh tickets between December 23 and January 1. Beginning on December 23, the day of Vaikunta Ekadasi, darshan will be permitted at the Lord Venkateswara temple for ten days.
As part of the plans, on November 10, around 2.25 lakh Special Entry Darshan (SED) tickets, priced at ₹300 apiece, would go up for sale online. In addition, 20,000 SriVani tickets will be offered during the event. On par with SED ticket holders, SriVani ticket holders will receive darshan.
Around 4.25 lakh Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens will also be made accessible at more than 100 counters spread over nine distinct places throughout Tirupati, for the advantage of ordinary pilgrims.
The TTD, however, has stated that there will be no prohibition on pilgrims visiting the temple during the period, but has maintained that only those with valid tickets will be permitted for darshan. The TTD did away with the "arjitha sevas" and various formats of privileged darshan, such as those extended to the parents with infants, senior citizens, and special citizens.
