News EventGovernor Thawaarchand Gehlot praised Alva's Kannada-medium school in Moodbidri, where hundreds of students receive free instruction, boarding, and housing, on Thursday. He expressed the hope that the institution will continue to contribute more to the advancement of the mother language.
The Governor announced that the school has been deemed the greatest institution by the government as he opened the four-day 29th edition of the national cultural festival, "Alva's Virasat," at the Vanajakshi Shripathi Bhat open-air auditorium at Alva's Education Foundation campus. According to him, education is provided in mother tongue in five developing nations worldwide.
According to Mr. Gehlot, the foundation has been preserving culture, dharma, and the spirit of the country. He claimed that while music and literature captivate everyone, cultural education will improve one's personality. He claimed that the charity was preserving national pride by providing over 3,500 athletes with free instruction, housing, and food. These kinds of projects were assisting the nation in winning medals in the Olympics and other international competitions.
Dharmasthala Pattadhikari D. Veerendra Heggade, who presided over the opening, referred to "Virasat" as the knowledge festival where science and information were being shared. Contributions from individuals like M. Mohan Alva, the head of the foundation, are credited with transforming impoverished India into a moral nation.
Before the performance started, a cultural chariot with idols of Rama and Krishna was wheeled in front of the platform as hymns and Bhajans were sang. Gangarathi performers Vipul Sharma and his group from Hardwar gave a Gangarathi-style performance to the chariot.
