News EventThe district government is getting ready to put on a spectacular show in honour of the upcoming annual "Navy Day" celebration. To discuss the preparations for December 4, District Collector A. Mallikarjuna met on Tuesday with representatives from the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), city police, and other departments.
Mr. Mallikarjuna urged the officials to make sure there was no difficulty when the public and VIPs arrive at the location.
The Collector requested that five parking spaces be supplied along the Beach Road section due to the anticipated huge number of spectators, and he urged the VMRDA authorities to provide for both lighting and other measures.
The APIIC Grounds were intended for VIP/VVIP parking, except for the five. Additionally, he has requested that they set up a direct path for the VIPs to get from the grounds to the event. Along with the mainstage seats, he also talked about the facilities that should be offered to fans arriving at the event. These amenities include setting up barriers at the location, bio-toilets, and drinking water. On the day of the event, he gave the relevant officials instructions to make sure that drones and kites are prohibited. The Collector also requested that two fire tenders and critical care ambulances be dispatched to the location. He also went over the plans for the "At Home" initiative.
