News EventIndia 2024 Minidrone Competition is being organised by MathWorks in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science's Department of Aerospace Engineering. Students from Indian colleges and institutes are eligible to apply; applications must be submitted by July 31.
The competition would consist of two stages. During the first stage, contestants would create control systems, image processing, and path planning for a minidrone line follower through simulations. Teams who make it through the first round will be invited to the live round two competition.

MathWorks will give free software for the problem statement to any team that takes part. In the event of an in-person event, the teams will also get the Parrot Mambo Fly drone, batteries, and dongle on competition day.
The deadline for submitting the simulation is August 14. Announcing the finalists by September 4 is the plan. On September 27 and 28, the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IISc, will host the competition's final round.
