Four-day State School Science Festival begins in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday

News EventThe four-day State School Science Festival will open at several venues on Thursday.
Director of General Education Shanavas S. announced at a press conference here on Tuesday that the following events will take place: the science fair at St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, which is located close to the General Hospital; the mathematics fair at Government Model Girls Higher Secondary School; the social sciences and IT fairs at Government Higher Secondary School for Girls, Cotton Hill; the work experience fair at St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, Pattom; and the vocational expo, career fest, and entertainment programmes at Karthika Thirunal Government Vocational and Higher Secondary School for Girls, Manacaud.
On Thursday at 10:00 a.m., Mr Shanavas will raise the flag at Cotton Hill School. Speaker A.N. Shamseer will open the State School Science Festival at 11 a.m.On Sunday, the valedictory will begin at 4 p.m. The award giver will be MLA V.K. Prasanth.The contests will take place from Friday to Sunday, with registration taking place at Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Thycaud, on the opening day of the fair.The State event will include around 7,500 kids from higher secondary, vocational higher secondary, and high school. Students who placed in the top two at the district level will go to the state competition.
Almost 180 activities are scheduled overall: 18 in the scientific fair, 29 in mathematics, 15 in the social sciences, 102 in work experience, and 16 in IT. At the Government Model Lower Primary School in Thycaud, food has been scheduled. In 21 schools inside the municipal borders, accommodations have been made for both instructors and pupils.
