Farm Fest-2024 in Puducherry; 40,000 flowering plants on display at the Botanical Garden

News EventAs part of Farm Fest-2024, about 40,000 blooming plants from Puducherry, nearby States, and other nations are on display at the Botanical Garden.
The yearly celebration was officially opened on Friday by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy. Lawmakers, top officials, Speaker R. Selvam, Minister of Agriculture C. Djeacoumar, and others attended the inauguration event.
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has been organising the festival for 34 years. This year, it has over 125 booths showing a variety of goods, the newest innovations in agricultural technology, and related fields like fisheries.
Fruits, vegetables, farm equipment, fertilisers, and farm nurseries are all kept in distinct compartments.
Departments of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, AYUSH, Women and Child, and institutions like Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, and Murugappa Chettiar Research Centre have set up stalls.
