BMRCL received its first entirely Made-in-India driverless trainset for the Yellow Line

NewsThe first fully-made autonomous trainset for the Yellow Line was delivered to Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Monday, marking a significant milestone in the country's metro rail construction. The train, which was constructed at Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd.'s production plant in Uttarpara, West Bengal, is expected to completely transform urban travel in the area.
The stainless steel train has state-of-the-art performance characteristics and sophisticated automation. It will shortly connect Electronics City to the rest of Bengaluru via the 18-kilometer Yellow Line.
Titagarh intends to increase manufacturing to produce two trains per month by September and deliver two more trainsets by April 2025. An important step in India's attempts to become a world leader in rail production is the Yellow Line trainsets.
