Bhawani Island hosted the traditional Shiva-Parvathi Kalyanam and a Vanabhojana Mahotsavam

The stunning Bhawani Island, situated on the Krishna River, came to life on Sunday during the auspicious "Karthika Maasam," when the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation's (APTDC) Religious Tourism branch sponsored a "Vanabhojana Mahotsavam" and the customary "Shiva-Parvathi Kalyanam."

The presentation of traditional meals and a variety of cultural performances arranged by Sunshine Events members came next.

In association with Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam, APTDC arranged the function, which was chaired by Tourism Minister R.K. Roja. 

Attendees at the celebration included A.A.L. Padmavathi, Executive Director (Operations) of APTDC, Srinivas, Special Officer (Religious Tourism), General Manager (Water Fleet) Nageswara Rao, Bhavani Land Srinivasa Rao, Director-Administration of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) Kanaka Durga, Assistant Director Lajwanthi Naidu, Divisional Manager Srinivas, and other department officials and staff.
