NewsThe Indian government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has welcomed New Delhi-based fintech upstart BharatPe, enabling its users to place food orders straight through the app. Through the removal of the necessity for several apps on a smartphone, the new function seeks to improve the user experience. With the connection, meal delivery would be easier and more smooth for 15 million BharatPe members, who will have access to over 1.4 lakh eateries in over 400 cities with order tracking in real time.
The collaboration marks the first noteworthy advancement since BharatPe unveiled its platform for consumer payments in August. Through the BharatPe app, customers can now place orders from nearby eateries, including well-known brands and hidden treasures. In addition to real-time order monitoring and personalised meal suggestions based on user preferences and order history, the app has an easy-to-use UI.
In addition to helping users, the relationship with ONDC opens up expansion prospects for nearby food companies. Through the partnership, thousands of independent and small eateries may reach a wider audience without being restricted by conventional boundaries.
