News EventThe Sixth Edition of the International Kids Film Festival (IKFF) will take place on November 23, in Bengaluru at the ASC Centre and College. IKFF, dubbed a "first-of-its-kind," is an international film festival hosted by LXL Ideas and screened by School Cinema. 75 award-winning children's films from 20 nations, presented in 15 languages, are on display during the festival, which takes place in schools throughout India from November 14 to November 30.
Children are given opportunities by IKFF through the screening of films, online workshops teaching kids about the different aspects of filmmaking, and the world's biggest student filmmaking competition, which gives young filmmakers a stage on which to showcase their skills. The winners of this competition go on to serve as Indian juries at partner festivals.
IKFF 2023 has partnerships with international film festivals such as the Providence Children's Film Festival (USA), the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy, the Children's Film Festival in Seattle, and the Busan International Kids & Youth Film Festival (BIKY) in South Korea. The festival extends an invitation to anyone worldwide to serve on its jury, which includes filmmakers and directors from across the world such Alexandros Kostopoulos (Greece), R Balki (India), and Marie-Pauline Mollaret (France), who is in charge of the short films committee at the Cannes Film Festival.
