16th edition of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala inaugurated on July 26

News EventMinister for Local Self-Governments M.B. Rajesh, on July 26, inaugurated the 16th edition of the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala at the Kairali theatre complex. He stressed the need for a welcoming and accepting atmosphere that allows for the free exchange of opposing viewpoints in modern-day India.
The Kairali Sree Nila theatre complex will host a six-day festival with up to 335 films from 54 different nations. The focus categories will feature up to 31 documentaries and 18 short fiction films.
24 films in a variety of languages, including Marathi, Bengali, Hindi, Santhali, Odia, Kannada, Tamil, Assamese, and Sylheti, will be presented in the focus short documentary category. These films look at a variety of topics, including the lives of women, the drought, mining, social movements, etc.
