NewsThe first "large order fleet" in India was unveiled by Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal on Tuesday. This fleet is intended to manage large orders for parties and get-togethers with up to 50 guests.
It's interesting that the program includes an all-electric fleet with the goal of enhancing delivery capabilities for large gatherings.
The fleet fills a vacuum in Zomato's service portfolio by effectively managing large orders that were previously handled by several delivery agents, resulting in a less than ideal client experience.
The action is part of Zomato's larger plan to increase the size of its addressable market overall by adding new food delivery use cases.
Goyal went on to say that the large order fleet is still a "work in progress" and that cutting-edge features like temperature-controlled hot boxes and cooling compartments are planned. According to him, these improvements are meant to guarantee that food is delivered in the best possible condition, maintaining its temperature and quality.
