Through the National Career Service (NCS) site, the Ministry of Labour & Employment has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with food delivery giant Swiggy in an effort to improve employment connections in the gig and logistics sectors.
Union Ministers of State for Labor and Employment Shobha Karandlaje and Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya were present when the Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
Swiggy will include its gig possibilities, such as delivery, logistics, and support roles, onto the NCS platform in accordance with this Memorandum of Understanding. According to the release notes, NCS users will benefit from timely and validated work possibilities across metropolitan and semi-urban areas as a result of this real-time integration, which will increase the visibility of gig employment.
It is anticipated that the collaboration will promote digital empowerment, organized onboarding, and knowledge of worker welfare programs.
