The famous Indian Navy's decommissioned TU-142M aircraft has been relocated to the aircraft museum in Kakinada

The TU-142M, a legendary aircraft of the Indian Navy, has been moved to an aircraft museum in Kakinada. Vanga Geetha Viswanath, a member of parliament for Kakinada, opened the museum on Friday.

Tucked away on the shore, this museum is the second aviation museum in the state and the third of its sort, after Kolkata and Visakhapatnam.

Speaking during the inauguration, Eastern Naval Command's Commodore N Sudeep discussed the amazing journey that naval aircraft had undertaken over the past three decades. Being stationed at INS Hansa, Goa, and INS Rajali, Arakkonam, the aircraft was an important asset for the Indian Navy's Long Range Maritime Reconnaissance Anti-Submarine Warfare.
