Swiggy announces merger of InsanelyGood with its Instamart aiming to streamline operations and reduce cash burn

The merging of Instamart, Swiggy's rapid commerce vertical, with InsanelyGood, its premium grocery business, has been announced. Following its July integration into Swiggy's main app, where it was given a dedicated area with other Swiggy services, InsanelyGood was first released as a separate app. This brings us to the news of the merger. 

Reducing cash burn and streamlining operations are the goals of the merger. To save costs, InsanelyGood has reduced the number of cities where it operates to just Bengaluru.

Formerly known as SuprDaily, InsanelyGood underwent a rebranding and ecosystem integration in March of last year under Swiggy. After acquiring SuprDaily in 2018, the firm completely merged the SuprDaily segment under Swiggy in 2021, putting it in direct rivalry with other grocery delivery services like Amazon Fresh and BB Daily from BigBasket. 

Renowned for its high-end grocery selection, InsanelyGood has gained a great deal of customer satisfaction from its superior selection.
