Stargazers will be treated to a rare alignment of six planets gracing in the first week of June

NewsStargazers will be treated to a unique alignment of six planets adorning the early morning skies, weeks after the total solar eclipse that left many stunned in various parts of the world. An unusual cosmic event involving the alignment of the planets will occur during the first week of June.
The phrase "planetary alignment" refers to the arrangement of planets in the solar system so that, when viewed from a particular point—for us, Earth—they appear to be in a straight line or very near one. Rather than the planets being in a perfect line in space, this phenomena is more of an illusion of perspective.
There will be a rare chance to see this celestial event as Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune align themselves almost exactly in a straight line.
Six planets will align, but because of their great distance from Earth, not all of them will be visible to the unaided eye. Concurrently, the Moon will also act as a spoiler by causing distortions in visibility.
Because Mercury and Jupiter are so close to the Sun in their orbit, it will be difficult to detect them in the sky. But even in very low light, Mars and Saturn will be visible to the unaided eye. To view the far-off planets Uranus and Neptune, individuals with excellent eyesight will require telescopes or powerful binoculars.
