Pine Labs partnered with Google Wallet to enable a seamless integration of Gift Cards on the product

Google Wallet and fintech startup Pine Labs have teamed to make it possible for Gift Cards to be seamlessly integrated into the product. A few weeks have passed since Google debuted the eagerly anticipated Google Wallet app in India. On Android smartphones, it enables users to manage Gift Cards from within the Google Wallet app. 

With Google Wallet, users can organize and manage their gift cards and get alerts when it's time to use them for purchases. The collaboration attempts to provide a means for consumers to control Gift Cards right within the Google Wallet application. 

As per the official statement from the company, the smooth incorporation of Gift Cards will allow customers to conveniently store and manage them within the app, while also getting helpful prompts to utilize them at the time of purchase.

Due to the 'power of choice' that e-gifting offers, young consumers are drawn to it, and Indian brands are continuously trying to appeal to this significant and expanding consumer base. 

Refunds, credit notes, and promotional offers are just a few of the fascinating use cases for gift cards that have surfaced as growth drivers that provide businesses the chance to cultivate consumer loyalty and create enduring connection.

According to a Research and Markets analysis, the gift card market in India is projected to grow from US$7.6 billion in 2023 to US$15.7 billion by 2028. 

This unique collaboration between Google Wallet and Pine Labs will provide a seamless Gift Card usage experience that will remove any usage complexity and offer previously unheard-of levels of ease and convenience to both new and current customers.
