NewsA cooperation between PhonePe and Star Health and Allied Insurance Company (Star Health Insurance), an Indian retail health insurance provider, was recently announced. The cooperation aims to provide monthly and annual payment options for health insurance to clients. Users of PhonePe may now obtain coverage up to Rs 1 crore with the "Star Comprehensive Insurance Policy" using the PhonePe app.
As a result of this collaboration, consumers will have access to Star Health Insurance's Comprehensive Health Insurance through a monthly premium payment plan, which was developed by PhonePe and is a first for the sector.
In order to increase convenience, users can choose to pay their premium via the UPI AutoPay requirement. Smaller monthly payments relieve consumers' financial pressure while empowering them to choose more comprehensive insurance coverage without straining their budget, according to the firm, which spearheaded the change.
PhonePe feels that while selecting health insurance, maternity coverage and the much sought-after OPD are only two of the many perks that the Star Comprehensive Insurance Policy offers.
The comprehensive policy covers expenses for both road and air ambulances, outpatient consultations, dental and eye treatments, costs associated with childbirth and organ donation, and care for newborns from the moment of birth, including vaccinations for the first year and congenital disorders, up to a maximum of Rs. 1 crore.
Additionally, it does not restrict coverage for nursery operations and supports mental health up to the entire insured amount. It also provides up to Rs. 1 crore for total permanent disability and accidental death.
