NewsLinkedIn, the Microsoft-owned professional networking site run by Satya Nadella, is about to introduce a new video experience in India with the goal of breaking into the rapidly growing $5.5 billion short-form video industry. The action is taken in response to LinkedIn observing a 60% surge in video uploads in India, as opposed to a 45% increase elsewhere. By taking advantage of this trend, the platform hopes to improve user involvement in professional growth, career coaching, and knowledge exchange.
LinkedIn's vice-president of product management, Gyanda Sachdeva, highlighted the company's mission to provide financial possibilities for all professionals. Sachdeva thinks that knowledge sharing through video material can increase the frequency of economic possibilities.
Knowledge sharing, news, skill-building, professional development, career coaching, workplace culture, interview preparation, and resume building will be the main topics of LinkedIn's video content. Furthermore, it is anticipated that lighthearted content, including business comedy, will be well-liked.
By enabling professionals to gain from the combined knowledge and experiences of their networks, the new swipe-based video feature seeks to enhance the immersive and meaningful nature of knowledge exchange.
