Kerala is preparing to adopt an Online Student Concession Management System, which will allow students to easily obtain concessions without physically visiting the state's regional transport offices. This would be a huge relief to the thousands of students who now receive concessions for travel in private buses.

For students seeking discounts for using KSRTC buses within the state, the Kerala State Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has already put in place an online concession processing mechanism.

Kerala has decided to provide an online application system for discounts in private buses in light of the necessity to establish a transparent system for the benefit of students who are harassed by private bus operators who have exclusive rights to travel particular state routes.
