IndiGo stated on Tuesday that it will unveil a new in-flight entertainment content facility with the goal of improving customer experience through "continuous digitisation". The company announced that it has enhanced its software to allow users to view popular blockbuster movies, TV series, access moving maps, play games, and listen to a variety of music genres while cruising at 30,000 feet.
Flyers can use the IndiGo app to use this new option, and the experiment will begin on May 1 for customers traveling between Delhi and Goa.
"As part of the ongoing effort to improve the customer trip through digitalization, IndiGo will test new entertainment material. The trial, which will be available to consumers in-flight via the IndiGo app, will begin on May 1, 2024, and will last three months, according to the firm in a statement.” Customers may utilize the IndiGo app to stream over 200 hours of material across formats and genres, including expertly curated Indian and Hollywood movies, shows, and all-time favourite songs. It further said that children can play a fun treasure hunt game while on the voyage by using the moving map feature.
