Flipkart, the massive online retailer owned by Walmart, is apparently getting ready to make a splash in the fast commerce market. In the next six to eight weeks, the business intends to introduce 10-15 minute delivery services in at least a dozen locations, according to an Entrackr article.
Flipkart will take on well-known competitors like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy's Instamart if this occurs. The move is expected to reshape the competitive dynamics of the industry, particularly in light of the rapid commerce sector's increasing popularity among Indian customers and its resiliency. By improving its supply chain infrastructure, which now comprises a network of dark shops in significant cities like Bengaluru, Delhi (NCR), and Hyderabad, the firm has been creating the foundation.
The infrastructure is important to Flipkart's goal of outshining its rivals in the market by providing not only food but also a larger selection of gadgets, clothing, and everyday necessities.
