Cochin International Airport Limited launches self baggage drop-in facility at Terminal 1

The self-baggage drop-in service at Terminal 1 has been implemented by Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). Without the assistance of airline staff, travellers will be able to place their luggage directly into conveyors at the facility. 

According to a news statement from CIAL on Wednesday, 95% of domestic passengers flying via Kochi may now use the service, which has been made available by Indigo, Air Asia, and Air India. 

The ten common use self-service kiosks located close to the terminal gates allow passengers to print their boarding pass and luggage tag. Following the application of tag stickers on luggage, travellers can head to the bag drop location. The baggage handling system is connected with the self-bag drop system, which is available at 27 to 30 check-in desks.
