Waltair Division received five efficiency shields at the 68th Railway Week Award function

On Wednesday, January 17, at the 68th Railway Week Award event in Bhubaneswar, East Coast Railway (ECoR) presented five "efficiency shields" to Waltair Division. According to a statement released by AK Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division, the division was awarded shields for excellence in a number of areas, including the "Best Clean Station (Major Station Category) Shield" for 2023, Electrical, Signal & Telecom; it also shared shields with Khurda Road in Operating and Survey & Construction.

Chief guest Manoj Sharma, General Manager, ECoR, presented the efficiency shields to Team Waltair, which was commanded by DRM Saurabh Prasad. Speaking to the assembly, Mr. Sharma praised the railway workers for their unwavering efforts and commitment to duty, which helped them to become the highest loading zone in 2022–2023 and to reach many milestones and make Indian Railways history.

35 workers, two groups, and three Zone commanders received merit certificates and shields in recognition of their exceptional work.
