Visitors will be admitted to the famous tourist destination Kovai Courtallam from Tuesday

The Forest Department will welcome guests to the famous tourist destination Kovai Courtallam on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.  On July 5, the Department restricted the waterfall to tourists owing to significant intake of water and concern for visitor safety.  According to the Department, the inflow to the waterfall has declined since rainfall in the catchments has decreased during the last week. The Department repaired the visitors' area and cleaned rocks that had gathered in the swimming area. The tourism sector premises have been cleaned in recent days, and the Department said on Monday that visitors will be admitted beginning Tuesday.
