The "Visakha Darshan" circular train was started off at Kailasagiri Hill on Friday by district collector A. Mallikarjuna and the chairperson of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), A Vijaya Nirmala.
Following advice from Waltair Division, the circular train underwent repairs after being unable to run for several months due to mechanical problems.
Mr. Mallikarjuna stated during the programme that tourists might board the train from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. He said that a journey will take place every 30 minutes. The authorities travelled by train later.
Following the programme, the Collector also went to Tenneti Park to see how things were set up. He was told that because of storm damage, there were no steps in the park. The Collector promised to take up the works.
