Corporation Commissioner M. Prathap launched the 'Vanavil Mandram' STEM curriculum in 20 city schools. In collaboration with two private companies, the STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) programme for Classes VI-IX in 20 corporation schools — 12 high schools and eight higher secondary schools — will provide higher education guidance and counselling as well as environmental protection sessions. A release stated that electronic, electrical, mechanical interconnects, robotics, and sensor technology devices were provided. This project will include almost 5,000 kids and 300 instructors.
