Al Mahara, a three-day Islamic literary festival, got underway on Friday at Jamia Al Hind Islamiyya in nearby Oorakam. Kunhalikutty, national general secretary of the Indian Union Muslim League, opened the festival. P.N. Abdul Latheef Madani, state head of the Wisdom Islamic Organisation, oversaw the event.
Competitions are organised in activities like Quran recital and memorization, Malayalam and Arabic essay writing and poetry writing, and Arabic quizzes, competitions are organised. A variety of Arabic-speaking college campuses around the nation hosted screening exams. The finals will feature 700 pupils, according to the organisers.
