NewsMetro services on Namma Metro's Purple Line have been suspended until August 11 due to signalling and other associated repairs. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) previously announced a temporary suspension of metro services from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. between Baiyappanahalli and S.V. Road Metro Stations, as well as K.R. Pura to Whitefield (Kadugodi). This was done to speed up the construction activities between Baiyappanahalli and K.R. Pura. The prohibition lasted until August 9.
The BMRCL stated in a statement on Wednesday that "the curtailment of train services is further extended on August 10 and 11 to complete the works." Between S.V. Road and Kengeri metro stations, train service is offered during this time.
According to the statement, on August 14 only trains between Baiyapanahhali and Vijayanagar metro stations will operate from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., and there won't be any metro services available between Kengeri and Vijayanagar metro stations during this time in order to facilitate signalling and related tasks along the Kengeri to Challaghatta stretch (on Mysuru Road).
According to the BMRCL, there won't be any adjustments to the Green Line services.
