Singer K.S. Chithra, on Sunday, officially opened the media centre for Keraleeyam 2023, a festival that will be held here in November to highlight Kerala models and the State's accomplishments in many fields. The department of information and public relations will oversee the media center's operations. The artist praised the State government for holding Keraleeyam, which honours Malayalis who have immigrated to other countries. This year's Kerala Piravi on November 1 will be unique because the state capital will play home to the week-long Keraleeyam starting on that day. She said the festival will be a platform for the State to showcase its outstanding contributions to the globe.
Chitra claimed that throughout her travels as a singer, she had experienced firsthand the admiration and appreciation that Malayalis in such locations got. She hoped that Keraleeyam would be a tremendous success and that it was an honour for the abilities and integrity of Malayalis. To make the inauguration a fun affair, the performer sang "Keralam Keralam Kottuyarunnu Kerala."
G.R. Anil, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, who oversaw the ceremony, declared that efforts were being made to make Keraleeyam a historic occasion. A.A. Rahim, MP, Kadakampally Surendran, V.K. Prasanth, and I.B. Satheesh, as well as R.S. Babu, chairman of the Kerala Media Academy, Industries Director S. Harikishore, welcoming committee convener, and T.V. Subhash, director of information and public relations, all spoke.
Keraleeyam will take place from November 1 through November 7 at various locations.
