The East Coast Railway will operate special trains towards Puri and back during the Rath Yatra period for pilgrims

For the convenience of pilgrims, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) will run special trains from and to Puri during the Rath Yatra. The Visakhapatnam-Puri special train will depart Visakhapatnam at 2.30 p.m. and arrive in Puri at 1.15 a.m., on June 19 and 27, and the 08902 Puri-Visakhapatnam will depart from Puri in the other direction and arrive in Visakhapatnam the next morning, on June 20 and 28, at 10.55 p.m.

These trains will have stoppages at Simhachalam, Pendurthi, Kottavalasa, Kantakapalli, Almanda, Korukonda, Vizianagaram, Nellimarla, Garividi, Chipurpalli, Sigdam, Ponduru, Dusi, Srikakulam Road, Urlam, Tilaru, Kotabommali, Naupada, Palasa, Sompeta, Ichchapuram, Brahmapur, Chatrapur, Khallikot, Balugaon, Nirakarpur, Haripur Gramme, Motari, Kanas Road PH, Delang, Jenapur Road PH, Bir Purushottampur, Sakhigopal, Janaki Deipur PH and Malatipatpur. Ten General Second Class, two Luggage Cumulative Brake van/Divyangjan, three Sleeper, one 3AC, three Sleeper, and Sleeper coaches will be included in the train.

On June 19 and 28, the Jagdalpur-Puri special train number 08057 will depart Jagdalpur at 10 a.m. and arrive in Puri at 4 a.m. the following day. The 08058 Puri-Jagdalpur will depart from Puri in the opposite direction and arrive in Jagdalpur the next day at midday, on June 20 and 29, at 9.30 p.m.

The train will stop at Kotpar Road, Jeypore, Koraput, Damanjodi, Lakshmipur Road, Tikiri, Rayagada, Parvatipuram Town, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Naupada, Palasa, Sompeta, Ichchapuram, Brahmapur, Chatrapur, Khallikot, Balugaon, Kaluparaghat, Nirakarpur, Haripurgram and Sakhigopal. It will have two luggage cum brake vans/Divyangjan-coaches, one 3AC, eight sleeper, three general, and chair car-1.
