The 29-kilometer-long Dwarka expressway will likely be completed and opened before December as per Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had visited the 29-kilometer-long Dwarka expressway's continuing construction site, on Thursday. Gadkari said during the inspection that the project will likely be finished in three to four months and opened before December. While touring the road with Delhi L-G VK Saxena, Union Ministers of State General VK Singh, Rao Inderjit Singh, and MPs Parvesh Singh Verma and Ramesh Bidhuri, he stated that "the project, which costs Rs 10,000 crore, is 75-90 percent complete."

The first elevated urban motorway and first single-pillar flyover in the nation are found on the 29 km long Dwarka Motorway, which has eight lanes.

Gurgaon residents would find it simpler to commute thanks to the project, which will cut the travel time from Dwarka to IGI Airport to only five minutes. The motorway, he added, is a component of a 65,000 crore plan to relieve congestion in Delhi and the surrounding areas. The project is broken up into four packages, the first of which, according to Gadkari, is almost 60% finished and runs from Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur to Dwarka.

The second package from Dwarka Urban Extension Road to Bajghera is about 80 percent complete and the third package from Bajghera to Basai rail overbridge (Delhi-Haryana border) is about 90 percent complete.

The service road on the motorway will feature six lanes, making it simple for Gurgaon residents to travel.

According to Gadkari, the project also includes a 3.6-km tunnel, the largest 8-lane tunnel in the nation, that would allow travelers to travel from Dwarka to IGI Airport Terminal 3 in only five minutes.
