State-wide Grand Kerala Ayurveda Fair commenced on Friday, on the occasion of National Ayurveda Day

NewsOn the occasion of National Ayurveda Day, the 20-day Grand Kerala Ayurveda Fair (GKAF) kicked off on Friday, serving as a lead-up to the fifth edition of the Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF). The State-level GKAF, which will take place in all of Kerala's districts through November 30, was officially opened by Dr. G. Jay, principal of Government Ayurveda College in Thiruvananthapuram. At the event, Dr. Jay also unveiled the GKAF poster.
Road shows with the theme "Live Healthy, Live the Ayurveda Way," exhibits, seminars, Ayurveda Aahar, herbal plant distribution, kid contests and specialty medical camps have all been scheduled in all districts as part of GKAF. To demonstrate the system's power to the general public, it will bring together all Ayurvedic institutions, groups, and organisations.
The State capital will host GAF 2023, from December 1 to 5, an event that aims to showcase Ayurveda's immense potential in tackling today's health issues and provide a worldwide forum for Ayurvedic practitioners and stakeholders to network.
National Ayurveda Day 2023's tagline is "Ayurveda for One Health." "Emerging Challenges in Healthcare and A Resurgent Ayurveda" is the main subject of the GAF 2023, which will be place in the city at the Greenfield International Stadium in Karyavattom.
The Department of Ayush, the Kerala government, the Ayurvedic community in the State, the Ministry of Ayush, the Government of India, and the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) are collaborating to organise the biennial event.
