Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Shivamogga airport today. This will be the prime minister’s fifth visit to poll-bound Karnataka this year. PM Modi will take on a walkthrough and inspect the airport in the Shivamogga district on Monday in Karnataka. The new airport was built at a cost of approximately Rs 450 crore. Its Passenger Terminal Building is in the shape of a lotus and can accommodate 300 passengers per hour.
