NewsThe annual Swavlamban seminar is held by the Naval Innovation & Indigenisation Organisation (NIIO), and Swavlamban 2023 will be the second in the series. The purpose of this event is to involve Indian academia and business in attaining "Self-reliance in Defence Sector." Swavlamban 2023 is slated for October 4-5, 2023, and will take place in Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan. Senior representatives from the government, the military, academia, and industry will all be there. The SPRINT project, procurement, procedures, and certification are only a few of the topics covered.
The latest Indian Navy indigenisation strategy, 'Swavlamban 2.0,' as well as fresh business issues will be presented during the plenary session. For a number of launches and significant policy pronouncements involving all three Services, anticipation is considerable.
The second day will be devoted to indigenous development and weaponry, and it will include an industry-led discussion of the 'Swavlamban 2.0' paper that was made public the day before. The purpose of this outreach is to improve business relationships. The event will also feature breakout sessions on medical advancements and participation from defence attachés and diplomats from more than 50 friendly foreign nations.
India's dedication to self-reliance in the defence industry is demonstrated through NIIO's creative path and the SPRINT project. With the participation of major stakeholders, Swavlamban 2023 is expected to be a crucial turning point in the development of India's naval defensive capabilities.
