NewsThe second Chinese ship, which was transporting a ship-to-shore crane, anchored at the still-under-construction Vizhinjam International Seaport, on Monday. By midday, the Central approval was given to the ship Zhen Hua 29, which was waiting for the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to provide the go-ahead to dock at the port.
The tugs based at the port went to the reception spot off the coast of Vizhinjam shortly as permission was given, and they hauled the ship to the pier. In about an hour, the ship could be docked at the harbour. On November 9, the ship, crew, and technicians landed here. Two emigration officers were present for the whole process. The enormous dock crane with rail mounting will require a minimum of two days to be unloaded.
The Adani Group sources state that the final shipment, which includes four-yard cranes, is scheduled to sail for the Gujarati port of Mundra by November 17. The last time, in order to obtain permission for the ship and crew to disembark, the State had to write to the Centre.
On November 25th, the third project cargo vessel is anticipated to arrive here, and on December 15th, the fourth one. From January through March, four ships were scheduled to arrive.
