Seafood Festival; 2K Run organised by the Fisheries Department, in Vijayawada on Sunday

On Sunday, prawn and fish producers, Fisheries Department personnel, and students took part in the 2K Run. The activity was planned by the Department of Fisheries in collaboration with Bhoomi Organics to promote the Seafood Festival, which will take place from July 28 to 30, at A Convention Centre here. The demonstration was set off at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) Stadium by Collector S. Dilli Rao. The event was attended by aquaculture farmers from the Prawn Farmers' Federation of India.

The Collector, speaking on the occasion, stated that culinary competitions and other events were scheduled for the three-day celebration. "People are requested to participate and enjoy the seafood delicacies," Mr. Dilli Rao added.

According to M. Raghuram, managing director of Bhoomi Organics, the event is called 'Fish Andhra — Fit Andhra'.
