NewsUnder its Saheli programme, the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and the e-commerce behemoth Amazon India have inked a Memorandum of Understanding. The collaboration intends to transform the digital e-commerce environment for female entrepreneurs, namely in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, as well as other locations.
According to the company's announcement, it would also empower over 25,000 women artisans and entrepreneurs by giving them the tools, resources, and training they need to be successful in the digital marketplace. The alliance aims to tackle the obstacles that female entrepreneurs have while attempting to participate in the digital economy. To close the skill gaps in digital marketing amongst these businesses, both organisations will provide free seminars, training sessions, onboarding help, and continuing support.
According to Amazon, the partnership's emphasis on capacity growth and the improvement of digital marketing expertise is one of its main features. Hands-on training and assistance in digital marketing tactics, performance marketing, product listing optimisation, and advertising approaches will be provided to women entrepreneurs. Specifically, the firm stated that this will provide them with useful data-driven insights and analytics to better understand consumer behaviour and market patterns, enabling them to adjust to present and future trends in the digital marketplace.
Amazon Saheli programme aims to empower women and provide them with the tools they need to succeed as Amazon sellers. According to the firm, more than 1.8 million women-owned, hyperlocal, and rural businesses have had their Saheli programmes digitalized so far. These companies sell a range of goods over the Internet, such as food, jewellery, and clothing.
