Railways will operate a weekly summer special train on special fare between Udhna (Surat) and Mangaluru Junction from April 12

To handle the extra demand of passengers during the summer holidays, the Railways would run a weekly summer special train on a special tariff between Udhna (Surat) and Mangaluru Junction from April 12 to the first week of June.

The service is run in conjunction with the Western Railway and the Southern Railway, according to an announcement from the Konkan Railway Corporation in this area.

On Wednesday, April 12, 2019, May 3, 2019, May 10, 2019, May 24, 2019, and June 7, Train No. 09057 Udhna Jn. to Mangaluru Jn. Weekly Special will depart from Udhna Junction at 8 p.m. to arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 7:40 p.m. the following day.

Commercial stops are made at the following stations: Valsad, Vapi, Palghar, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Jn.

The train will include 22 LHB coaches, one generator car, one First AC-cum-2-tier AC, two 2-tier AC, six 3-tier AC, eight second class sleeper, and three second sitting coaches.

From April 13 to May 25, the weekly train number 01049 from Pune Jn. to Ernakulam Jn. departs Pune Jn. at 6.45 p.m. on Thursdays and arrives in Ernakulam at 6.50 p.m. the following day.

According to a KRCL statement, the Ernakulam Jn. to Pune Jn. Special (Weekly) departs Ernakulam Jn. on Fridays at 11.25 pm from April 14 to May 26 to arrive in Pune at 2.45 am the third day.

At Lonavala, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sawantwadi Road, Madgaon Jn., Karwar, Kundapura, Udupi, Mangaluru Jn., Kasargod, Kannur, Thalassery, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur Jn., and Thrisur, it has commercial stops.

There will be 22 coaches, including two 3-tier AC units, one 2-tier AC unit, 11 second-class sleeping units, six second-class general units, and two luggage-cum-brake van units.
