Purple line of Namma Metro turns out to be a favourite among commuters in Bangalore

Since the launch of the entire Purple Line of Namma Metro on October 9, many people have shifted to the metro. The opening of the Whitefield-Challaghatta metro corridor (Purple Line) of 43.49 km is a huge relief to commuters. There is also now a fleet of 37 Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation feeder buses, which was introduced on Wednesday (Oct 11), providing a convenient commute from the K.R. Puram metro station to ORR.

The Purple Line's complete functioning is an excellent news for users of Outer Ring Road. According to a senior traffic police official, there has been a noticeable reduction in traffic during the morning rush hour, especially outside the Baiyappanahalli metro station, near Hoodi Junction, and between Tin Factory and Whitefield.
