NewsThe "Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana" has been launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a major step towards increasing the use of renewable energy. The nation's 1 crore houses are to have rooftop solar systems installed as part of this massive project. After arriving home from Ayodhya, where he had presided over the Ram temple's consecration ceremony, he made the announcement.
The prime minister stated at the meeting that any home with a roof may use the sun's power to cut their electricity costs and become aatmanirbhar for their electrical requirements. On the momentous occasion of the consecration of life in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi stated, "I am even more determined now to see that every Indian has a solar rooftop system installed on the roof of their home." After coming back from Ayodhya, I decided that our government would start the "Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana," which aims to put rooftop solar on one crore homes. In addition to saving the lower and middle classes' electricity costs, this would increase India's energy independence."
The Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana seeks to generate extra revenue for excess power generation while simultaneously supplying low- and middle-income people with electricity through solar rooftop installations. The prime minister also gave the order to launch a significant national campaign to encourage homeowners in the residential segment to switch to rooftop solar in big numbers.
