NewsThe Peralassery Subrahmanya Temple pond in Kannur is included in the list of 75 water historic monuments in India. The Ministry of Jal Shakti issued a notification in this respect. Established around 1,500 years ago, the pond's architectural and historical value is attested to by this acknowledgment.
This historic structure, which falls under the step well type, is most notable for its Vastu-based architectural elements. Situated on the scenic banks of the Anjarakandi river, the Peralassery Subramanya Swamy Temple features a pond that was renovated in 2001.
The body of water, referred to as Aynivyal Pond in the community, has not only withstood the test of time but has also been involved in the entertainment industry, appearing in albums and films.The Ministry of Jal Shakti launched this campaign as part of its goal to protect historically significant water resources.
