One Delhi app will provide commuters with a more accurate ETA of Delhi Transport Department

NewsThe 'One Delhi' app has been updated to give passengers a more precise expected time of arrival for cluster buses and the Delhi Transport Department. The Delhi government's 2021 app, which had the goal of offering an integrated platform for online ticket and pass purchases, locating buses and nearby EV charging stations and battery swapping stations, and assisting with trip planning, frequently fell short in giving users the precise ETA of buses. Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot and the DTC pushed the developers of the app to establish a better framework for the app's efficient operation after becoming aware of the challenges experienced by commuters.
The improved function, according to one of the main researchers, Professor Pravesh Biyani of IIIT, Delhi, is far from delivering completely precise information but is still far superior than the prior one. Currently, more than 2 lahks use the app, with more than 1.5 lakh people using the app for ticketing purposes. Over 30,000 people use the app to plan their trips. Apart from giving minute-wise updates on the buses, the bus stops in Delhi are also expected to get digital boards displaying ETA of buses.
