Mobile app to be launched by Delhi governments Social Welfare department imparting complete information on pension

NewsNo longer will Delhi's pensioners need to go to government offices to find out information on their pension. The social welfare division of the Delhi government is introducing a smartphone app that will allow seniors to fully understand the condition of their pension while at home.
Through the mobile app on their cellphones, pension holders will now be able to view all the information linked to their pension while sitting at home. The goal of this action is to give the elderly and disabled, who frequently have to visit government offices to obtain information on their pensions, much-needed relief.

When and how long it will take for the pension to be paid out will be disclosed via the mobile app.
The Delhi government would also establish District Facilitation-cum-Grievance Redressal Committees in each district to offer pensioners doorstep services. These committees want to make sure that every pension bearer gets help right at their door.
The Delhi government provides a pension to more than 4.5 lakh senior citizens enrolled in the old age pension programme for the unemployed.
A pension of Rs 2,000 per month is given to those between the ages of 60 and 69, while a pension of Rs 2,500 per month is given to those over the age of 70. Beneficiaries from the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Minority community additionally receive an additional monthly payment of Rs 500.
Additionally, the Delhi government pays 1.5 lakh Divyangjans a monthly pension of Rs 2,500.
The Delhi government is taking substantial steps to ensure that pension holders have prompt and trouble-free access to their pensions with the introduction of this mobile app and the creation of District Facilitation-cum-Grievance Redressal Committees.
