Maiden wedding destination on the Shanghumughom beach in Thiruvananthapuram is all set to host the first wedding

Thiruvananthapuram's Shanghumughom beach will hold the first-ever wedding at Kerala's public sector venue, which is built on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, on November 30. The civil works have nearly been finished by the Trivandrum District Cooperative Tourism Development Society, which has been tasked with developing the beach into a destination for weddings that meets worldwide standards.

Among the services provided are hotel accommodations, transportation, activities, excursions, conference site arrangements, and planning themed events and gala dinners. At special prices, guests can select the destination's event management services. According to Mr. Shameer, the project's main goal was to offer a panoramic view of the beach location in order to create the ideal atmosphere for a small wedding.

As part of the idea, the society will invest about ₹2 crore on the location, manage the facility for ten years, and then turn it back to the government. Kerala Tourism ran a PR campaign last year to highlight the state as a top travel destination, with a particular emphasis on advertising it as a popular wedding location, at airports and on social media.
