NewsThe Kerala State Literacy Mission (KSLM) will start "Pauradhwani," on Wednesday in Ernakulam. It is an initiative designed to develop knowledgeable and self-sufficient individuals in eight districts with a focus on coastal and tribal communities.
The Varapuzha grama panchayat has been chosen to participate in the event, which will take place in Ernakulam and begin on Wednesday for three days. In order to create autonomous citizens, the course seeks to inculcate scientific aptitude, independent thought, secularism, democratic spirit, constitutional principles, and knowledge of one's rights.
Due to their sizable tribal population, the districts of Palakkad, Wayanad, Malappuram, and Thiruvananthapuram were selected for the initiative; in contrast, the marginalised coastal populations of Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kozhikode, and Kasaragod were taken into consideration.
"Pauradhwani" has devised a six-point credo that encompasses safeguarding the rights of underprivileged groups, fortifying democracy and fraternity, and constructing a fair and impartial Kerala society devoid of bias.
As part of the scheme, recipients are given a leaflet outlining their rights and obligations as well as the importance of scientific temperance, secularism, democratic spirit, and constitutional principles.
